Sheila Rae the Brave

Today we started reading Sheila Rae the Brave by: Kevin Henkes.  The story is about a little mouse who is really brave.  She kisses spiders, tied up the bully who tried to steal her jump rope, and giggled every time she walked by the principal.  She decided she wanted to try and walk home by herself and thought it would be fun to try to take a new way home.  After awhile she found herself in a place where nothing was familiar.  This is where we stopped reading today.  Ask your 2nd grader how they think the story is going to end.
